an almost zero level of form and meaning

The work depicts three blue, empty projected images. This blue image is seen when the input of a beamer is removed. In this sense, the image literally contains zero information. With these three empty images a composition is made. This composition was then photographed and printed.

In this work, layer after layer of non-information and emptyness are stacked upon eachother in an attempt to create something meaningful. In a way, the work can be seen as a nowadays, digital, post-internet interpretation of Malevich’s black square.

How can we create something new and meaningful when everything we see online is recycled and reproduced?
